Connection to our Haudenosaunee Unit!

Oren Lyons and Freida Jacques to speak on

Haudenosaunee environmental beliefs and practices

April 14th, 2011
5:30-7pm
at The History Center

Oren Lyons and Freida Jacques are members of the Onondaga Nation who frequently speak on the importance of Native beliefs to our world. All of creation, according to Haudenosaunee belief, is connected. The nature of creation requires environmental practices that respect this principle and maintain a right relationship among all things on earth. Jacques and Lyons have brought this message to their writings, speaking engagements, and classrooms.

The event is free and open to the public. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
